Paul Gilbert's Musical Life

Paul Gilbert, the famous guitar player positioned no.four in the quick performers listing of Young Guitar 2003, is a senior teacher in GIT guitar School. He mixed rock, blues and new classical into the fast picking with beautiful melody and unique style, and his major skills are string jumping and speed picking. He emerged combined with band Racer X and was the former guitar performer in the prominent band Metallica. When the band dismissed, he got a solo career and then reformed Racer X, mainly showcasing Blues and Rock style. His key instruments are Ibane series guitars.

300

300 belongs to series and is the signature type of the renowned US guitar player Gilbert.

300 Features

This version features wizard neck, basswood body, maple fretboard, DiMarzio pickups, double-locking tremolo system. It is the 2nd model, and also the last product which includes this tremolo system in series guitar. Concurrently, it also has Paul Gilbert's signature F-hole sound control.

301

In 2003, Gilbert substituted the wiring board of the300 by using a fixed one himself and altered it being the hard-tail, which actually is the later creation301. The most primitive300 was discontinued in 2004. It is the version with the longest output line in the series.

300 RE

300re was launched to be a reissue model of the300 on its 20th anniversary in 2009.

To be one within the series, and also a Paul Gilbert signature product,301 was manufactured in the year 2003 in line with the300. All is the same as the300, except the bridge and pickguard setting.

Paul Gilbert talked about300,"The300 is probably the guitar that I played the most out of any of them. It was really the workhorse, the most punished guitar, the one that took the most abuse and kept on going. I used it during the peak of Mr. Big's success in Japan, when we were headlining three nights at the Buddokhan. It always sounded great. To me, one of the unique things about that guitar, for whatever reason, was that it cleaned up really nice. Whenever I would use the 5-way switch and click it over one click to use the single coil and the split-coil humbucker together and turn the volume on the guitar down, I'd get this really nice glassy sound. I remember playing that guitar on the Tonight Show, doing a song called "Just Take My Heart" that had a really clean sound. It just sounded beautiful on that. There was no channel switching necessary. I just plugged it into a cranked up Marshall, turned the volume down, and got this beautiful, clear, shimmering sound. Of course when you crank it up, it was total metal. So that was the guitar that my hands have spent the most time on out of any of thes. I think my chest cavity has modified to its shape. It's a very very dear guitar to me. I've spent so much time with it. I love it. You will, too. The300."

He also commented301,"So after years and years and years of playing my guitars, I started to come up with my favorite small details. The301 is the culmination of these details. For one thing and probably the most unique about it, it's non-trem. There's no tremolo bar on it. It does have that really solid feel of a non-tremolo bridge. To me, it's a little more Spartan of a guitar. It makes me have big calluses on my hand. I think I improve as a player from having to get the vibrato with my left hand rather than using the whammy. It's a very simple guitar, but the important work on the guitar is done on the things that matter most. The action is great, the tone is great, and the playability is great. It's a really reliable workhorse of a guitar. It always sounds great. I've done a million shows with that one. In fact, the300 is really just a301. It just doesn't look as good, because I cut it up and did all those modifications to it. The301 is the result. It's nice and clean. Enjoy the301. That's the one I play. Thank you so much."

We studied hard upon the above described features and replicated this instrument as similar as possible to the initial instrument. All woods are exactly the same as the original ones, like body wood, neck wood and fretboard wood (all high quality woods). The defaulting pick-ups we utilised are Wilkinson pickups, which is cost effective and quality assured.

Since we batch manufactured the instruments with a small number, the price, when compared with those custom built ones, is very much more cost-effective. But simultaneously, the supply is limited. Should you really like this guitar, please make contact with us immediately.
