Story About Randy Rhoads Polka Dot V

Randall William Rhoads (December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982) was an American heavy metal guitarist who played with Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot. A devoted student of classical guitar, Rhoads combined his classical music influences with his own heavy metal style. Randy Rhoads' career was far too short – he died in a plane accident in 1982, at the age of 25. Despite his short career, Rhoads is a major influence on neo-classical metal, is cited as an influence by many guitarists, and is included in several "Greatest Guitarist" lists. Despite his youth and limited recorded work, Randy Rhoads is considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Rhoads has been on the covers of many guitar magazines and has influenced many guitar players, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Dimebag Darrell, Doug Aldrich, John 5, Tom Morello and so on. Polks Dot V was one of his favorite guitars.

Some people think Jackson or Charvel crafted the Polka Dot V, but in fact it was produced by Karl Sandoval. It was ordered on Jul three, 1979 and completed on September 22, 1979. Randy Rhoads put in a great deal time to design this electric guitar and he required a guitar that joined together of both Gibson's tone and Fender's play style, therefore the parameters of this specific electric guitar, such as string length and nut width, are based on his Gibson Les Paul guitar, particularly the size with the neck. Karl and Randy talked over a long time and finally settled upon the crocodile headstock type, which turned out to be a icon of the Polka Dot V. The dots had been requested to be set in place regularly as opposed to randomly, which could make it look much more 3-dimensional. Those dots had been undoubtedly Polka dot which acquired the name from a certain east European music named Polka.

Features of Our White Polka Dot V Guitar Copy

The original instrument was set-in structured; therefore the instrument was fairly stable, in comparison with the bolt-on style. Our replicated guitar is the same with the original guitar in a set-in construction.

The inlays are tie inlays, which implies a gentle design. The initial instrument was made of rosewood fretboard, maple neck and mahogany body. And we strictly pick precisely the same woods as the genuine guitar.

All the hardware is chrome.

There is no truss rod upon the original guitar, therefore it is annoying to alter the neck, as Randy deemed. Acturally, the original guitar without truss rod is unreasonable. For it had been designed nearly 33 years ago, this pot is fall behind. Therefore, our instruments all own truss rods on them. Besides, please note that the white cover plate in the back of our replicated guitar. We could also provide you with black cover plate. If you need, please contact us, thank you for your support!

One thing to note is that we have duplicated two versions of Randy Rhoads Dot V: White w/ Black Dot and Black w/ White Dot. Check more information on our website. If you're one particular with the fans of Randy and considering this instrument, our Polka Dot V should be best alternative of yours, due to the fact our guitar could be the most similar custom created instrument strictly adhering to the initial parameters along with the genuine model drawing.
