Life About Robbin
Robbin is well known for being Ratts axe-slinger, and Ratt is surely an revolutionary and Powerful hard rock band in 80s. In the initial period, Crosby was considered the adhesive to combine this band, and his composing talent and playing capacity are the major aspects for the achievements of this music band. Robbin left the band in 1991, and soon after, there seems to be no news of him. However, through the period he stayed in the band, he was contaminated with the HIV, gradually resulting in AIDS. Till late 2001, he kept silent, and then the news of his health issues was published. His past bandmates tried to organize charity shows, but Crosby's problem became more and more severe and very soon he died in the year 2002 at the age of 41 years old.
1986 Firebird Custom is Robbin's forth Firebird, crafted ahead of Ratt's "Dancing Undercover" tour having a serial number #1860. This guitar featured Floyd Rose tremolo, a volume control, Seymour Duncan JB pickup & unusual/uncommon reverse head with regular sharkfin inlay combination.
This guitar was utilized during the early period of the Dancing Undercover tour. The guitar was delivered to Charvel Guitars in Ontario, California for repairing and the serial number was adjusted to #RA-195. Mike Shannon, the master of Charvel Guitars, mended it. And on 6/4/87, this guitar returned to Robbin Corsby timely for his Japan tour.
1987 Firebird Custom. Stunning Ferrari Red painted face with natural mahogany/maple back. Unique one piece neck construction, Original Floyd Rose Trem, Seymour Duncan JB pickup and one volume control. Quickly Built and rushed via Federal Express next day air to Robbin while on the "Dancing Undercover" tour in Biloxi Mississippi January 24, 1987. There was obviously some sort of unforeseen emergency shortage of guitars on that tour! Probably the result of Robbin breaking one or more of his instruments. He was a self-professed "Animal" with his guitars and they took quite a pounding while on tour. This guitar was used extensively on the "Dancing Undercover" tour and was also featured in various Charveladvertising promotional materials during that time.
