Paul Stanley Guitar - PS10
For many collectors, Paul Stanley Guitar - PS10, or Paul Stanley model, is probably the most favorite guitar they are looking for. This Paul Stanley Guitar was released in 1977, popularized following the rock band KISS. In the Japan tour of KISS in 1976, met Paul and gave him a chance to create his own signature guitar. Paul liked the shape of the Artist 2663, and do some modification, so his ideas were reflected in ps10. This Paul Stanley Guitar first appeared in product list in 1978. In fact, before the list came into being, it had been sold already.
A very early this Paul Stanley Guitar shown in the picture was ever auctioned $5878 on Ebay.
In the following four years, Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar, vocals) played the Paul Stanley Guitar. In the album KISS ALIVE II, there is a short section played with this Paul Stanley Guitar. The retail price of this edition was $ 695 in 1978, and it was discontinued in 1981. In 1995, ps10 was updated into ps10-ii. In 1996, another PS was unveiled, that is PS10-LTD (or Limited). It sold well, because in 1997, one more Paul Stanley Guitar edition appeared in the list, it’s called PS10-CL (or Classic). The biggest difference between them is that PS10-II was made in Korea, LTD and Classic was made in Japan. All features are exactly the same as the original 1978 edition (like the Gibraltar Bridge and Quick Change tailpiece). Although there is "Paul Stanley" inlays at the 21st fret in the picture, but most are not produced this way, apparently, the South Korean factories got some problem with it so they decided not to do like this.
And at that time, you could directly buy a PS10 LTD from Paul Stanley when it was only $ 2000; while the Classic was $ 1800 (each had his signature certificate). But this Paul Stanley Guitar was discontinued in 1998. It’s said that he and his partners bought all the rest of Paul Stanley model from, and how he’d like to make use of these guitars had always been a mystery. In 1999, Paul Stanley stopped cooperating with and turned to Washburn Guitars and soon created a new PS model, which looks cool, too.
For the above mentioned features, we had a deep research and investigation on the original Paul Stanley Guitar, and replicated it in a cost-effective way.
