King V Series and KV2T (USA Series)
The King V is an electric guitar made based on the Gibson Flying V. The King V was originally designed for Robbin Crosby of Ratt and he popularized the guitar throughout the 80s. Robbin's nick name was King hence the name of the King V. Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine eventually became the guitarist most identified with using this model.
The KV2T is a variant of the King V which comes under the 'USA Select Series' Guitars. The body is made of mahogany and is intersected by a three piece neck-thru quartersawn mahogany neck with ebony fretboardboard. It has neck and bridge humbucking pickups, both from Seymour Duncan. This model has 24 frets but what is unique to this particular model is that it has a string through body, 'shark eye' fretboard inlay, the headstock itself is an SLS type. Also to note is that the body is a flat top and lacks the bevels of the other King Vs. The guitar is also a 24.75" scale rather than the 25.5" scale that other King Vs have. But one more thing to note is that it was originally produced in a 25.5" scale in 2003.
Besides, the KV2T has a that classic feel to it. That is due to the compound radius which makes the fretboard more rounded and concave on the lower frets while it slowly tapers out to be more flat at the higher frets. This KV2T King V is of course made in the USA. The KV2T is also very comfortable to play because unlike a Strat Style body there is no guitar horn to get in the way on the higher frets. You will be burning up and down the King V fretboard.
