King V KV2 Electric Guitar
The King V is an electric guitar made based on the Gibson Flying V. The King V was originally designed for Robbin Crosby of Ratt and he popularized the guitar throughout the 80s. Robbin's nick name was King hence the name of the King V. Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine eventually became the guitarist most identified with using this model.
The KV2 is a variant of the King V, which features include an unmistakable look and unbelievable sound. The body is made of alder and is intersected by a neck-thru quarter sawn maple neck with ebony fingerboard. It has Neck and Bridge humbucking pickups, both from Seymour Duncan. This model has 24 frets with Floyd Rose bridge and is constructed in the US. The KV2 is one of the 2 USA Select Series guitars (alongside the KE2) built with the "Speed Neck" profile, a slim neck thickness for a fast playability. So KV2 is so popoulared by many heavy metal and thrash metal guitarists. A well-known example of them is Mille Petrozza.
Mille Petrozza(born December 18, 1966), who is also named Miland Petrozza, is a German guitarist and singer. He is best known for being the lead vocalist of the band KREATOR. In 1994, he played guitar in the metal all-star band Voodoocult. Petrozza has an extensive collection of guitars, but his primary guitar is a KV2 guitar, which he plays almost exclusively live.
Features of Our KV 2 King V Copy
For it is primed for modern hard rock and metal! As soon as you pick up a Select Series KV2 King V, you know you're ready to rock. So the KV2 is a fairly classic in the King V world. In order to creat a high-quanlity KV2 at a reasonable price, we had decided to make the replica of KV2. We bought professional drawings and meticulously studied this electric guitar, thus we can grasp every details of processing technique. So all our guitars are flawless when it comes to craftmanship. Besides, they are absolutly 100% hand-mades.
The body wood of KV2 is alder, neck with quartsawn maple and the fretboard wood is ebony or rosewood. They strictly followed the wood usage of the original KV2.One thing to note is that the crisp texture in our fretboard. Please refer to the above spec-sheet, we can know that the original KV2 is created with ebony fretboard. But our replicated KV2 is produced with rosewood fretboard and ebony fretboard. You have the freedom to choose which kind of wood you think will suit your taste better. With our previous production and sale experience, lots of our customers prefer to rosewood fretboard, which definitely gives them a warmer tone and incredible sustain. Of course, ebony fretboard is also populared by lots of people. All in all, It is only a matter of taste. So we boldly feature rosewood fretboard and ebony fretboard with our replicated KV2. As for other parts, It has 24 Jumbo frets and the standard layout for the KV2's which is two volumes, one tone, and three-way pickup selector switch. Our KV 2 King V Copy is strictly in accordance with these controls. See picture below.

In the above spec-sheet, you can see that our replicated KV2 exactly followed the original KV2's specifications. The body construction is neck-through. As we all know that the neck-through structure is more firm and stable than that of set-in. But neck-through structure needs high quality wood. So you can rest assured to the usage of our wood. The fretboard is ebony with Mother-of-Pearl Shark Fin inlays. Licensed Floyd Rose bridge is also provided in our replicated KV2. Please refer to below pictures.
One more thing to note is that the pickups we utilised are Wilkinson pickups instead of Seymour Duncan's. So the price in our website is not include the value of the original Seymour Duncan’s pickups. Wilkinson pick-ups are what we suggested. They are not simply quality guaranteed but also affordable for most people. But if you want to use Seymour Duncan’s pick-ups, we can satisfy your need. Certainly, the price would be higher than before.
