The Story of King V KV1
The KV1 is a Dave Mustaine signature model and is the first commercially-sold model of the King V. It was in production from 1996 to 2001, making it the longest running Mustaine signature series. As we all know, the King V has long been a favorite of rock and metal players because of its visually striking appearance and fiercely ambitious tone. The trademark guitar of Dave Mustaine for many years , the King V has been a part of the driving force behind one of the world’s most creative and highly acclaimed “metal” bands. The KV1 is designed exactly to Dave’s specifications, down to the wiring and the pots, and is probably the finest among the King V series.
Dave Mustaine used this guitar a lot on the Cryptic Writings tour and first part of Risk tour. It seemed to be his show opener and used for the first 3-4 songs. Some of the more memorable appearances are Woodstock 1999 and Monsters Of Rock 1998. The guitar has been pictured on many magazines including at least two different Young Guitar magazine tour reports.
Features of Our Jackson KV 1 Guitar Replica
In previous years, KV1 had been highly-coveted by many metal guitarists. There are only about 200 around in the whole world. Dave Mustaine has used these guitars throughout his career and that Megadeth sound is evident on this one. Really aggressive attack and thick middle range. But this guitar was out of production in 2001. That's really a pity for many fans of Dave Mustaine and KV1. That's why we made the replica of KV1.

The body wood of KV1 is alder, neck with maple and the fretboard wood is ebony or rosewood. One thing to note is that the crisp texture in our fretboard. Please refer to the above spec-sheet, we can know that the original KV1 is created with ebony fretboard. But our Jackson KV 1 Guitar Replica is produced with rosewood fretboard and ebony fretboard. You have the freedom to choose which kind of wood you think will suit your taste better. With our previous production and sale experience, lots of our customers prefer to rosewood fretboard, which definitely gives them a warmer tone and incredible sustain. Of course, ebony fretboard is also populared by lots of people. All in all, It is only a matter of taste. So we boldly feature rosewood fretboard and ebony fretboard with our replicated KV1. As for other parts, It has 24 Jumbo frets and the standard layout for the KV1's which is two volumes, one tone, and three-way pickup selector switch. Our replicated KV1 is strictly in accordance with these controls.

In order to to keep the same with the original KV1 to the greatest extent, we have adopted the high-quanlity Kahler Bridge. Please refer to below pictures.
In the above spec-sheet, you can see that our replicated KV1 guitars exactly followed the original KV1's specifications. The body construction is neck-through. As we all know that the neck-through structure is more firm and stable than that of set-in. But neck-through structure needs high quality wood. So you can rest assured to the usage of our wood. The fretboard is ebony with Pearl Shakfins inlays.
We have to show that one features is a little different from the original KV1. The pickups we utilised are Wilkinson pickups instead of Seymour Duncan's. So the price in our website is not include the original Seymour Duncan’s pickups. Wilkinson pick-ups are what we suggested. They are not simply quality guaranteed but also affordable for most people. But if you want to use Seymour Duncan’s pick-ups, we can satisfy your need. Certainly, the price would be higher than before.
